The Child Nutrition Services Department is made of a team of food and nutritional professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn.  We provide students access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutritional needs of students while meeting state and federal guidelines.

For $3, the students can purchase one entree plus the following options:

* one entree item
* a fruit or veggie
* a choice of 1% white or non-fat chocolate  milk
* a reduced fat chocolate chip cookie or bag of chips
* one bottled water

Each student is assigned a PIN number which is used year-to-year.  This number will be needed to make all food purchases.  New students will receive this number on the first day of school.

Please take advantage of the option to pre-pay your student's meal account.  A prepaid meal account helps the lunch line go faster and gives students more time to eat and relax.

On line payments are a simple, safe and secure way to make payments to your student's account 24 hours a day for your convenience.  The website can be found online www.mySchoolbucks.com

Free or reduced price meals are available to families who believe they may qualify.  Program criteria are available at: http://www.smfc.k12.ca.us/free_reduced. If you choose to apply, please complete a "Free and Reduced Meal Price Application" form.  The forms can be obtained and returned to the school office.  You will be notified of your child's status. Until notification you must provide your child with a lunch or lunch money.  Families that qualified last year have a 3 week grace period at least year's status to re-apply.  Only one application is needed for children within out district.

For questions, please call Child Nutrition Services at 312-1968.
